I am rather excited in seeing this move come to be however I have a bit of a concern. From what I saw in the video most of the crew met as younger kids. However if from what I understand of the original series most of them didn't meet until the Kirk took command of the USS Enterprise. I may be reading more into it than necessary but still it makes me wonder.
I mean Spock was even on the enterprise before Kirk which at the time was under the command of Christopher Pike. This suggested to me that Spock only met Kirk after command was switched over.

I expect that they have taken some liberties with the original storyline, but it remains to be seen how many liberties they have taken.
I plan to go into this movie expecting little of the original story to be left intact, and to just enjoy a fun sci-fi movie. I'm excited to see the Enterprise on the big screen again.

It looks weird. Mind you, I never really got Star Trek myself.
At least they can't claim their pseudo-scientific plausibility anymore.

Heh Simon Pegg (ya know the guy from the Zombie film) is going to be the new Scotty.
That should be interesting.
But hey who cares its STAR TREK!!!!!!
Even though the best Capt is always going to be Picard
Or Janeway 
WEEEEEEEEEEEEE sorry Im VERY excited about this film lets hope its going to be better than Nemesis or the last X Files.
