Today, I tried to post with an attached .gif file, and Safari just goes dead when the page gets reloaded after the attached file gets sent. I repeated the process several times, and even rebooted the machine twice, but still, the same results. And its not been in the only time this has happened; I have tried in the past with the same results of a fully loaded but otherwise dead page: Scroll Bar does not work and Buttons are unclickable, basically a dead page.
Eventually- I had to break down and make the post with Internet Explorer.
With the exception of posting attached files, Safari works fine in all other aspects.
I know that there are like 4 other PF members that are Mac Users... Hope they get to read this and reply for any answers.
Note: This is a MacOSX/Safari issue, and not a PlanetFurry BBS issue.
BTW: Mac used; OSX10.2.8 with Safari, Basic School System. |

Unfortunately, I am not able to replicate the problem, but, on the other hand, I'm running Mac OSX 10.3.4 and Safari.
I'm not yet experienced enough with the new Mac OS to be able to assist you. Zak might be able to help, he's my source for any questions I have.

Unfortunately I don't even have a Mac, let alone access to Safari. I can only recommend checking if there are any updates to either Safari or if you can update the copy of Mac OS X on the machine(s) you're having problems with.
I'll see if I can replicate the problem from home using Konquerer. I know it works just fine with Mozilla and Firefox. Doesn't Safari use the KHTML engine? |

Well, the problem doesn't appear to be with the KHTML engine, or at least the version I have.
How big was the GIF file you were trying to upload (filesize and dimensions)? |
