I think the filter keeps the forum content, at least the text work-safe, of course, its not definite, and you can always ask if certain word can be removed.

How about removing it and let the moderators do their job? If someone's using language that's out of bounds, then let the moderators deal with it. There have been words that I use which aren't considered curse words in ANY language that were filtered. Don't ask me what they are, I don't reemmber because they weren't anything special.
This is supposed to be an semi-adult, responsible forum. If someone gets out of hand, it's our job as moderators to edit the post and spank them. Otherwise, let's lighten up a little
BTW: Since when did He11 become a curse word?

In my opinion, this filter is more of an annoyance than a help... This is generally a PG-13 board, the censor may be useful for sexually explicit words or racial slurs, but the 'more common' words may not need to be censored... If any of the uncensored words are used in an inappropriate manner, I agree with Hikaru, we have a team of responsible moderators who will take control. |

The censor list has been dropped. Once I get the chance I will rebuild a better word censor list.
No, there is no way to limit censoring or levels of censoring to specific forums. |
