Don't know a lot of Celtic artists, but I've enjoyed it whenever I've caught the Celtic show on my local public radio station. One of the best albums I've bought in the last couple of years is "Vol. 3 - Further in Time" by Afro-Celt Sound System, which as the group's name suggests is a fusion of Celtic and African styles. _________________ mwalimu

Oh yes...I love Celtic music. I like a lot of different, ethnic music actually. Though I agree, I have no clue who the artists are. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy! _________________ Doctor Kayngi

I'm somewhat of a celtic adict... that is when I am in the mood for it gots me a good collection of 'scottish moors', 'enya' (which is more new age), some Riverdance stuffs, 'Celtic Bagpipes' (very good album), and of course... some braveheart soundrack cuts , and finally... the 'Irish Dreams 2' CD... hehe.... ok, so I'm addicted.... your point? I have about twice this in classic rock though Anyway... thats my 2 euro cents.

Celtic pipes/ Harp music, again, like the others, I don't pay too strict attention to the artisits names.
A good Irish fiddle tune is nice, too, as is anything from Enya or her sister who does Irish Gospel.

My school's jazz ensemble this year is doing the Curnow arrangement of Riverdance, and it sounds pretty cool... but that's really the only exposure I have to Celtic music. _________________ "This is fascinating. Here are some of my favorite Celtic albums:
Celtic Twilight vol. 1 (var. artists)
Celtic Twilight vol. 5 (var. artists)
A Celtic Tale (Mychael and Jeff Danna)
Celtic Legacy (var. artists)
Celtic Flutes (Lifescapes)
Celtic River (Lifescapes)
The Celts (Enya)
I love Celtic music over here. Putting all of this onto a playlist and letting it shuffle through the songs is an awesome way to get a taste of the ethnicity and culture pervading the music. _________________ I'm guessing your guess is as good as mine... |

celtic music is ok, I just hate when people gets the Celts and the Irish mixed up. =O.O= but both types of music is very interesting to be ears. _________________ Walking threw the forest

I myself find Celtic, Harp, Native American music helps calm me when I am doing school work. It brings down all the back round clutter in my mind. _________________ Read a book and let your imagination take take flight
