This tutorial was inspired by nytwolf's avatar of all things. It's a nice front view of a wolf. Again, I did both a RL and Anthro comparison. Check it out at:

*insert wolf howl inappropriate for a bunny*

Another drawing lesson to TRY out on my train ride home.

Now the only thing that needs doing is 3/4 profile, right? And of course, if you've got the time and the desire to do so, some pointers on how to apply the basics of head-drawing to other species (and I'm thinking mainly about felines, leopards and tigers in particular, foxes, canines and of course BHUUNNIES!!!).

I'll be putting these out as time allows, and I'll tell ya a little secret. The best way to learn something is to teach it. I'm actually learning about anthro drawing as I go along! There are a lot of good books on drawing humans and on drawing animals, but very little on combining the two. For me, this exercise is helping with aspects of drawing anthros aren't all that obvious until you work through the process of trying to explain it to someone else. Then it's like - D'oh! This is so obvious!

Cirrel - one step ahead of his students... and still learning!

awww... Yay! I'm inspiration! *giggles and snugs Cirrel*

Very good tutorial. I have yet to try out the other you did, but this will be added onto my todo list. Wink

Actually, I think I may be able to try out the first tutorial now.

A little photomorph stuff for all you reality fans out there. This shows a comparison between a critter and it's anthropomorhized counterpart. For felines, the eyes make the difference. Humans are one of the few animals that show the whites of their eyes. Again the muzzle is shorter and the head bigger. Note that this is merely my style of anthropomorphizing things. Toon and Anime use different teqhniques.

Nice tutorial, I'm using it to brush up on my own anthro skills.

Absolutely excellent work mate! I'm just learning to draw anthro at the minute, so it helps if a raging insomniac like me has some tutorials to work on in the early hours.
