Even given the "mirror-dimension" aspect of Chris' placement in Sarah's world, I'd have bet the farm there was no way she could get pregnant. If one accepts evolution at face value, there is more likelihood of Sarah being able to successfully mate with a radish than with someone from a different dimension. |
Well, if we go with accepted science, it is rather unrealistic. But then so are any hybrids. The regular animals are different enough that no interbreeding between species is possible.
So, unless one says that all furs are of a common stock, that is, there was a "proto fur" and they only diversified to the different species (through magic or something like that) in the last few thousand years, then there is no possibility for hybrids (Except for a few special cases).
This was planned right from the start.
As for other stories having a similar development, I usually post the chapters as I finish them, and it was (more or less) a coincidence. I did think about not posting that other story so as not to give away the surprise here, but I finally decided against it. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

Good chapter, Nameless. While I, too might quibble about the ability to produce offspring, the fact that it IS an alternate universe is in it's favor. They speak the same language after all...what other parallels are there?
This is all conjecture though...Sarah doesn't KNOW anything for sure yet. Hmmmmm...was Sarah being in Heat the reason she was so sensitive to smells earlier on?
The introduction of someone like the Lakesides is a major development for Chris. Hope springs eternal.

Definitely a better chapter than a "What the heck"! _________________ I'm out of my mind right now, but feel free to leave a message... |

A very good chapter indeed. *BEG* You've been taking good notes on how to write cliff-hangers.

Hmmm, maybe the evil doctor will clone Chris and create an unstoppable army of superhumans.

That can be stopped dead in their tracks by a bit of bad dancing on the part of a femme squirrel? _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

Well, every mad scientist's plan to take over the world has to have a weak spot. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |
