Sucks to hear about your sister-in-law; hope she continues on her (from what I read) quite speedy recovery. As for the lost electrical wire... a TDR (that's Time Domain Reflectometer) might help you with locating it. At the very least you should be able to get an accurate distance-to-fault measurement from it. From there you just start measuring along your wiring diagram from the source. Is this wire just laying loose somewhere, or is it actually cut? Being able to measure from both ends of the line would let you narrow down the locations just based upon length. If not... I hope you can fit into your house's crawlspaces. _________________ (00:40:05) nbz: you win at the motherf***ing internet O_O |

Y'know, I never did thank anybody for their well-wishes here. And I do thank yunz guys!
Just to provide a little closure on this whole thing: Christine has been on the road to recovery at warp speed. Doctors initially gave her a 100% recovery prognosis.
Somewhere in August she and her husband Tom went to an Alabama concert (I don't know why, either). Seems Tom had written to the band and their management, and at the concert they not only mentioned her, but dedicated two songs to her!
As I was driving to the Memphit Furmeet, I passed the Cincinnati exit about the same time of day she was at the hospital there having the piece of her skull they'd removed for her operation on Mother's Day replaced. She was home the next day.
I could've seen her on the way home, and had spoken to Tom about spending the night at their house as they're not that far off the beaten track between MFM and home, but they'd gone to bed by the time I got there and forgot to leave a door unlocked for me as promised. I didn't get to see her, but I can vouch for the fact that they have a nice driveway to sleep in.
They're not so sure about the 100% recovery anymore, but it's definitely in the high 90's
So again everyone, thanks!!

Glad to hear things are going well for your sister in law. I hope she is able to recover fully and you get a chance to see her soon.
Did you ever find out any more about your daughter's mysterious ailment? _________________ mwalimu

Heya Chris. Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while - I'd like to send you and your family my best wishes as well, and hopes for a speedy recovery.
I'm working on something I think you'll really like, by the way. If all goes well, I should have it done and ready for you to experience in a couple of weeks. _________________ > KieferSkunk |
