I know that there are a few furs that I chat with on a regular basis that play Minecraft.

I have a server started
Its currently running Yogscraft via Feed The Beast it can be found at http://feed-the-beast.com/

I can run vanilla and a few others but the machine isn't up to par for that kind of load all at once.

If you are interested and would like to play drop me a line or leave a comment here.

I know of a few other servers too.

That sucks. When I built my last system I had 2 motherboards DOA and one video card DOA.

Was not a happy camper. Especially when newegg tried charging a restocking fee. I told them to put it where the sun won't shine hah.

The one I bought was the XFX HD6450 2 gig card upon first use it was fine ran TF2 played that for an hour. Then I started minecraft, that's when it went down hill. I ended up with red artifacting and amdkmdap driver would fail and restart. It would happen wile watching youtube format reinstall of windows and same fault. It crashed windows once with a repeated BSOD. It demanded to take over audio for the HDMI and it would shut off the on board audio. The card was nuts. Symptoms followed from one machine to another with same results.

Called newegg got things squared up for them and they sent me a new card should be here either tomorrow or sat.

I've been into ActiveWorlds since '97, which is kinda primitive compared to Second Life (but it's improving). And I've seen a lot of multiplayer VR systems. However Mine Craft seems the most primitive of the primitive.

Is that the appeal?

You can run your own server in Mine Craft, which is massively awesome. But what does that mean?

And how can one get into Mine Craft on a private server? (pretend I have the budget of a starving college student)

Smile

Hmm. I only play vanilla, much to some hardcore nerds chagrin.

I just figured I would put it out there, didn't think it be a problem. My mistake...

No, no I'd love to play on a server with you. It's just that "feed the beast" is too much for me. Anxious
