Posted by date because I'm not 100% sure which comic number it is.
Linkie here!
While reading this one, I got to thinking about the art. I find it interesting to compare the coloring between G.E.L.F. and Ms. Natalie's comic Furry Experience. The primary difference is in shading techniques. Here in G.E.L.F. she uses cell shading techniques to give depth to the characters. It's particularly noticeable on Hazel's jumpsuit and in peoples hair. Elsewhere are primarily solids with fairly solid lighting. Of course, being completely inside, this maximizes the number of flat surfaces and minimizes single-point light sources (such as the sun) so it's not unjustified. |

Ah. And here I thought she did both the line work and the coloring. Makes sense then. |

It's true-Hikaru does all the coloring and shading for Imperial GELF~
He's got an impressive history of coloring webcomics, including Suburban Jungle, Never Never and West Corner of the Park. |

Another little thing that I forgot to mention on my opening post and remembered upon seeing the strip just now: I love the line work on Hazel's tail. The way it swishes back and forth does an excellent job of conveying irritation and impatience. |
