There might be some cops out there who'd ticket for that, but definitely NOT on Snopocalypse Tuesday. They were more than happy to see you driving down the road with a shoe-box sized hole in your windshield as long as you didn't A) get stuck and B) run into anyone.

I managed to avoid both despite the best efforts of that idjot in the pickup truck with the sand bags piled up on the toolbox RIGHT BEHIND THE CAB instead of over the rear axle.

That's strange...

Here they would do just about anything to stop a driver with a 'shoebox sized' hole because people like that is just an accident about to happen.
There's no way they can maintain situational awareness.

In fact, if I recorded a clip where such a car passed a police car without being stopped, I would report the cops for dereliction of duty.

Might have some more pictures to post in a day or two. Another storm is supposed to start moving through this evening which could dump another 6 - 10 inches of snow on top of what we still have from last week. We'll see what we get but I'm hoping it's the lower amount!

Put up a couple of pictures already on my flickr this morning. One of a little bird in a bush just outside my window, the other of our trash men actually out making their rounds in this stuff.

My flickr account once again: http://www.flickr.com/photos/belvarius/

Not a snow pic but we did set a new state record this morning for cold. Nowata, OK (which is about a half hour drive north of us) hit -31F busting the old record of -27F. The good news is that we'll be warming up nicely this weekend with 50s and maybe even a few low 60s around the area. I'm really looking forward to that and hoping we don't see another flake of snow the rest of this winter.
