I believe it's something like, "AXE-FILLY 1"

-EXan has been put into a coma to recover more quickly-

Time for recovery 3,5 weeks

On a unrelated note.. Some kid in the Netherlands is going to Japan for 3,5 weeks... Coincidence? Maybe... maybe not.

He may or may not even post pictures...

And here I thought the politicians here in the U.S. were corrupt. Compared to the ones in Denmark ours look like totally honest and upright representatives of the people. Shocked

Heatstroke?

And here I thought the Old Warhorse was the only one that succumbed to it.

"Almost" got hit by it last week, working on the roof of a school. Went to the heat exhaustion stage, found some shade and a cool bottle of water. It took several days before I was back up to speed.

Take care and make sure to rehydrate/replenish your electrolytes.

Kel

I got to agree with Kellan

For keeping your electrolytes up I have two words "Pickle Brine". You can take all your fancy sports drinks and stuff 'em they're just pathetic attempts to make a "decent" tasting alternative to the wholesome goodnes of pickle brine. All I can say is if the thought of drinking it is distasteful hold your nose, though I love the taste of the stuff. When I was working at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival because of heat and other atmospheric conditions the general rule of thumb was either eat two massive pickles or have at least one mug of pickle brine. If you worked for the festival the pickle vendors would serve you a mug of pickle brine for a dollar.

Pickle brine?

Not 'as is' I hope?

Please tell me you dilute it somewhat...

Read the blog just now and will only say i have my own views on god and religion. I however got some very impressive views from a group of books a friend once lend me. The set of books "Incarnations of Immortality" by Piers Anthony are fun and at the same time present some very nice views on religion.

One thing i liked about it was when they made a comparison between science and religion. From this part i came to the conclusion (I think it is said in the book but i read it a long time ago and can't remember correctly) that we don't know what a day is to God. Who are we to say that 24 hours is a day for an omnipresent being that is eternal.

If you can get a copy it is a very good read in my opinion Smile

I'm gone for 26 days and this is what I come home to. Alrighty my 2 cents...

Sounds a bit like a really hardcore anti-theist (Lot's of different kind of Atheist Razz PS. I'm a strong outspoken "weak" Atheist but don't let the "weak" fool anyone.)

He has a point about two religions criticizing eachother. (Dancing in a druid circle or eating the body of christ). But that doesn't mean it's not allowed. :O

He also makes the other mistake of "Disproving" God, Goddess or Gods. The religions have to come with proof that there is such a being. But in my point of view only if they try to dictate law or similar things.
If you want to preform ceremonies or other things, as long as they are allowed within the law, I enjoy a lot of them myself.

Atheist are smarter if you believe the studies, but that doesn't mean we don't have complete and utter morons in between us as well.

Well back into the forum and the stories... I've got a lot to catch up on...

Edit: Making alot of errors.. But I've just returned from a 12 hour flight from Tokyo... Didn't sleep... I watched 5 movies... Maybe I'll post some pics... as soon as I stop being lazy and upload them from my camera..

See, that is an informed opinion which I can respect, EXan! I agree with you on this. If religions try to influence secular life by imposing morality (see the blog-post I entered ten seconds ago for more on this) in legislative ways, then yes ... proof, please!

Excellently put. When we're dealing with spiritual matters for their own sake, there is no call for proof, nor should there be.

Oh, and a little known fact here ... I started out being an Atheist. I found religion later in life. As a teenager, I'd probably have cheered on this guy. One of the benefits of age is the wisdom that comes with greater experience.

Atheism is fine for some people, but forcing it onto everyone is just as vile as forcing any other religious conviction on people ...

Hmm ... I guess that's what "Nachter" is all about, really Very Happy

As for your latest blog, 'sometimes the systems works the way it's supposed to'...(now if it would only happen more often)...
