I going to go ahead and start this thread with a question that sounds simple, but it may take a little while to get an answer.

Do you have a seemingly simple question or riddle you'd like to share? This thread is the place!

It's suggested that answers be provided if nobody gets it right within the first few posts.

Here it goes... (and pay attention!)

How many months out of the year have 30 days?

EDIT: The person who answers the riddle/question correctly gets to post a new riddle or question.

Correct

Next question...

Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

I don't have an answer at the moment.

But the answer to the previous question was yesterday, today, and tomorrow

I think I know.

The roman calendar messed it up. September was the sevent, October was the eighth, November the ninth, and December the tenth month of the year, respectively.

that is partialy correct [b/]

befor the romain ruler jules cesser the calinder was only 10 months long and so the months would be corect exsept for the months of july and august thouse two months are named after julies cesser and his son augustus cesser.

the months go january literal translation first month, june= 6th month september= seveth month, december= tenth month.

Hmm, okay. I never would've guessed.

Here's a riddle.

I start with the letter E, and end with the letter E. I usually contain one letter, but I'm not the letter E!

What am I?

I just found this one. This one is a real brainteaser!

Be careful not to answer incorrectly, the answer may be suprising!

A man wanted to get into a members only club so he hid and watched the guard at the door of the club house. The guard said a number to each member as they approached, and the member would respond with a number of their own. If the member responded with the correct number they were let in. If they responded incorrectly they were thrown out. One member came up to the door, the guard said twelve, and the member responded with six and was let in. Another member came to the door, the guard said six and the member responded with three and was let in. Believing he had heard enough, the reject went up to the guard. The guard said ten, and the reject said five, but was not let in. What should the reject have said?

He should have said eight. The numbers in the pattern seem to have to total the number nine in order to gain access. At least that's the most Logical pattern I could find to apply in all three cases.
