I don't think the life-coach business is making a lot of profits at the moment, but given how much her other businesses make, I guess she can afford it. Wink

On the other hand, I just have to wonder, exactly how big are the odds that the story of the last attempted forced marriage gets dug up on the same day that the next one starts rolling? At least this time we do know that the attempt won't be successful (assuming the epilogue of T3 is accurate).

Going by the rules axiom from Terry Pratchett, exactly 1 to a million, given that in literature (or movies, ...) events that have a chance of exactly 1 to a million come up at least every other time, if not more often. Wink

OK, what Gabby needs to do is to keep it personal, "When did I deposit that 8 mil?' type things and keep hammering that point in. Course, having a fed source say that type of deposit wasn't made to her accounts wouldn't hurt either (and would explain the extra time to check the books)...

While it's certainly possible (even likely) that the money came from a "clean" account, it's by no means certain. There is a big hole in Vohni's logic.

The money could have been from the "dirtiest" account and the Feds would have looked the other way if that was part of the deal Gabby's fathers made with them. If I was in his shoes, I would have made certain to make that part of the deal, after all, I wouldn't want to risk breaking my deal with Gabby and getting the whole affair out in the open (and possibly causing the movie to be released to the public).

Generally, when they seize a crimelord's asets, they take EVERYTHING.

It would have to be a VERY special account for them not to touch it.
Just the paperwork to prove it is all white boggles the mind.

As for the sleazebunny...

My guess is that he is related to one of the crooks that got big time in the slammer after Gabby's father started singing.
(But not an obvious relationship. Different surnames, growing up far from his relation and all that. Possibly an illegitimate son?)

I am very frustrated. The problem seems to be at my isp. I can NOT access the Axe Shed. I get nothing but "Server not found". And I really, really want to read the next chapter of T4.

I've got a trouble ticket open with them, and they have 'escalated' it to Tier 3, but I still don't have an answer. Mind you, they can open the page without any problems.

Don't know what the answer is, because my wife's computer, which is running Vista, can't access it either. My system is Ubuntu Linux. She runs Opera as her browser, I use Firefox. The only common point is we share the DSL connection.

ARGH!!!

I just checked, and I can get to the homepage easily enough, and so can everyone else apparently, so it must be your ISP. HOWEVER, remember that Fikrann changed servers recently, so maybe it's simply your link to the old server which is broken? Try clicking on the link again or use this one:
