My previous post was, in case you couldn't tell, thoroughly tongue-in-cheek. _________________ Nicolai

As I said, the books WERE translated into english, and many believe that he did read one or more of them.
Hearsay is that he once admitted to reading one, too.
(I can't find any reputable sources at the moment, though.)
Also, Frick admits to have been influenced by Rocambole, which begs the question; is James Bond really Rocambole?
As for the car...
you can't make those cars much faster without dramatically increasing the size of the engine/supercharging it. They're just too heavy.
You'd also need to add reinforced suspension and larger brakes.
All that will show up under all but the most cursory examinations.
No, whatever else is special with that car, it's not the speed.
It may be partially armored, though, _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Sent Joe the fixed file.

I had to laugh when I noticed the PDF on the Bookshelf currently ends on page 69, at least using the settings I have. _________________ Independent Business Owner ... Ask me, if interested in learning more.

16 pages into Ch 4, having re-written most of it so it feels better to me.
I will just say it starts out steamy, then gets interesting. ^_^ _________________ Independent Business Owner ... Ask me, if interested in learning more.

Been getting some writing done ... revising and refining what I've written.
From Nov 1st through Dec 25th I was kept busy with other things, such as getting my house ready to have company over for Thanksgiving ... then I got a temporary job with UPS which kept me quite busy for 90% of December.
Don't worry, there's more to this story to be read, and more that I plan on sharing ... just needed to kick-start my muse back into gear. _________________ Independent Business Owner ... Ask me, if interested in learning more.

Probably be about a week before I send the final edition for proofing, I'm not 100% done with the chapter, but I'm close! _________________ Independent Business Owner ... Ask me, if interested in learning more.

Yup, it's got steamy in it...
Nice bit of action in the warehouse, but...
Why bother disabling the cars?
It's not that difficult to put up some kind of blockade outside the doors that would have stopped them, anyhow, if they tried to crash through.
In fact, that's what they should have done, instead of hoping that if they had spare keys, thay wouldn't notice the caltraps.
That aside, it looks like it can be a rather interesting party soon... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"
