Yahoo! is still trying to install a toolbar, even though I said not to. I haven't found the correct file to delete, though. It actually might have something to do with my AVG antivirus, of all things.
I agree- epic fail.

So I'm _not_ the only one the Yahoo! Toolbar pissed off. It's even worse on a netbook with a tiny usable display. Takes up, like, 7-8% of it at a guess. |

I've had the same trouble. I've had to weed it off of my mate's computer several times, because usually yahoo toolbar gets installed, and then the viruses come. Yahoo is teh evil _________________ There is no signature here. |

When it comes to apps trying to install a lot of extra stuff I don't need just to get one I do need, the first that comes to mind is QuickTime. It keeps trying to install iTunes and a couple of other apps I'm not interested in. _________________ mwalimu

I still have a couple e-mail accounts with yahell... but that is just because (for a small annual fee) I can have POP/SMTP access to them, and never have to deal with the web front-end to them even. So many companies think that they have to push a bunch of stuff onto the customer just to get their foot in the door *coughmicrosoftcough*... After all, it has worked in the past right? *coughmicrosoftcough*... Anyway... that is my *coughlinuxradicalcough* 2c.

I hate this so much. Sometimes you'll have to download another program to download the program you want too.
No, Java, I don't want Yahoo toolbar. No, iTunes, I don't want Safari. No, Adobe, I don't want to download a downloader and McAfee security scan for a flash player.
Even Google does this, they bundle Earth with Chrome and make you download Google Installer, unless you find the direct downloads. |

I use the new Trillian Astro and so far I've been pretty happy with it (once I disabled the unnecessary 'cute bubble' interface). _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |
