Anyone heard from Mr. Bruner of ZZtS fame?
His monthly log hasn't been updated in a bit and I was just wondering if anyone knew if he was okay. _________________ Independent Business Owner ... Ask me, if interested in learning more.

The last I'd heard from him, things where rough in the job and cash departments. He may have had to go off-line for a while. Not too sure. If no ones heard from him by February, let me know. I'll be back stateside and I have a farm not too terribly far from his location. If anyone can get me an exact address, I'll go hunt him down. |

It's not for everyone. It's a rough life. You willingly have to place your life, your family and everything else on hold and go off to who only knows and do whatever is asked or required of you to keep the bad guys over the hill.
But, someone has to do it. If not me then someone else. As a clergyman though, I pray for the day that I'm the one standing in the unemployment lines and not everyone else. I would love to be any of my other various hats full time instead of this one. But, one does what one must. |

Wellll, I don't know about that (rough life), that may depend more on who you're with (squadmates) and the 'action' going on at the time one's in.
I have to admit that there was nothing major going on when I went in (Nam was winding down), though things did heat up a bit when that Russian pilot decided that Japan was a great to park his MIG... |

Six month plus, away from my family. Never knowing if the ship is going to which hotspot until we get told (Usually a few days in advance.) Never being able to tell my spouse exactly what I'm doing or where I am.
Right now, I'm in Afghanistan. I'm here till next year and it's not sailing around near the danger. I'm on top of it. It's not the forward front lines but it's not what you call safe either. Not by any means.
It sets off with me some days.
But I asked to do this. It's what I have to do. |

I had been wondering about Bruner as well. I know that Mike can sometimes get ahold of him and in the past there have been times when he though he was updating his...life blog I guess you would call it. _________________ "'Do you know, I always thought Unicorns were fabulous monsters, too? I've sent James a couple of e-mails since his last blog post, just of the type: "Hey, how you doing? Drop us a line and let us know you're alive." Lack of response moves me to suspect that, like Alexi said, he's deep in RL trying to maintain a positive cash flow, and doesn't have much time for things furry. Hopefully that situation will eventually correct itself. I only wish there was something I could do to help him out.
Besides pray for him, I mean.
