Since the con is getting closer and all indications are that I'll be able to attend this year, I'm starting to think more seriously about getting some rooming arrangements set up, as well as deciding whether to drive myself or seek other means of transportation.

Is there anyone here with a room reserved that has room for another? Yes, I know I can check the room share board or the LJ community, but I thought I'd ask here first to improve the chances of getting set up with someone I already know, at least online.

I've reserved a room at the Holiday Inn Select Memphis Airport for MFM 2009 and am now looking for others to share the room and split costs. The room costs about $116 per night with taxes, and I'm hoping to share the room with 3 others to split the cost 4 ways. If successful it will be $29 per person per night.

For now I'm only posting this in a couple of places where I'm more likely to get hooked up with people I'm at least somewhat acquainted with (even if only online) before I post it to more general room share boards.

I have my room booked from the 4th too the 7th, it haves two beds and am willing too share the room...

And we have been confermed to host a live broadcast on KWKAT from the con!

The KWKAT Internet Radio Broadcast Party now has a fan!
A two hour music/dance party in Memphis over Labor Day weekend is likely to get hot! I recently went and bought a 20in Lasko wind machine that can put out a good amount of air. So if you are a fursuiter and was unsure about joining us Saturday night, do not fear, the fan is your friend! All those who get hot easily are welcome to become fans of the fan!

While some others think they should be able to add a hundred rules beyond the MFM con rules, we only have one rule; glow sticks are welcome but should be on you, please do not flail the sticks around on strings, the room has a low ceiling and others shouldn't have to worry about getting hit.

Even if you don't want to dance you are welcome to just come and enjoy the music.
If you can't attend MFM, the show will be broadcasted as long as there is internet connectivity http://kwkat.pandakc.com:9000/ (for broadband users) or http://kwkat.pandakc.com:8000/ (for dial-up users)

Saturday night, 10pm to midnight in confrence room 8 internet radio dance party, lots of music to move your tail to! Be there!!

Oh yeah, we'll also be handing out mardi gras beads! The only thing you have to do to get them is show up (please no sharing of your naughty bits! Smile

The test airing had its kinks... but we got the kink out Wink

(Not to worry, there is still plenty left for the MFM show Wink

) Had some grounding noise issues that we corrected, some music player issues that we corrected, all stuffs to get worked out, and all in all, I am happy with how it turned out. Basically the rig boils down to three laptops, (well, two netbooks and a laptop), and a DJ board. Smile

So be sure not to miss the broadcast... That's Saturday the 5th of Sept. from 10PM Central, to midnight Smile

By the way, for those planning to attend MFM, I can of course be found in registration room at the Tiger Haven Charity Auction Donation Acceptance table. Journye will be there with me. I hope that everyone stops by and visits us. If you have a donation, great, be sure to bring it before 2pm on Saturday. If you don't have a donation, still come see us and also visit the auction in A/B ballroom Saturday afternoon 3-6pm you might find something you can't live without!
