Thanks Chris. Been feeling a little "Cog in the machine lately. Nice to know not everyone hates us. (It kills me how many people here in Norfolk take the military for granted.)
BTW. your influence has spread. I started posting my writings. |

Don't be discouraged! The jackwads who hate you are in the serious minority, they just have bigger mouths and a willing media. The vast majority of this country LOVES you, just only a lot of them either take you in stride or are to embarrassed to walk up and say "Thank you".
Me, I'm bold, I walk up AND shake your hand and say "Thank you!"

Writers guild section. It's a first for me. I've posted written work and no ones told me it made them want to kill themselves. |

Let me raise a paw here and chime in with Chris. Alexi, I am deeply grateful to you and your comrades in arms for what you do to keep our nation safe. It is a solemn tragedy that there are some who would mock or despise your uniform and your efforts.
Please don't let the loud minority get you down. Know that you have the support, prayers, and hopes of millions behind you. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

It's a tribute based on a modern patriotic song, I think it came out shortly after 9-11-01.
It's also a song that everytime I hear it, I have to ask, WHY can't patriotic music have some rhythm?? |

Nope I was listening to that song back in the mid 80s when I was stationed in Germany. I think that was a new rendition of it though. _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

I've come to accept that Ch. 57 will be read while I am nestled in a sand dune.
Watched the vid. btw. that was nice.
I actually cried a little last night. My son is wearing my old dog tags. It was cute enough that I had to sit down for a second. |
