Ok ok, now this is odd. Many like music and write some of their own short pices. But I don't think that anyone would attempt a full orchestra. Well that is what I am doing, yupp. I have this really neat tool that I am writeing my music with and have a nice pice of it, yet not shure esactly how to finish it. =O.O= it driveing me nuts...!

My pice consists of a Basson, Clainet, 2Violins, 2Cellos, 1bass, 2 1Trumpets1 in A another in C, french horn, trombone in C, viola in C clef.
Timpany, cymbal, flute and oboe. So it a big pice

=O.O= I been wokking on this pice for 2 months and would be more than happy to share when done =O.o= if possible... So any as crazy as me? MUHA HA HA =o.o=

=o.o= I think I actually finished it.... I was working all night and I just had a sudden burst of inspiration and I have 2:36 minutes of music. =^.^= and all I wrote! =O.O= I cant believe I spent all this time awake... 10:00pm to 4:45am Woo I need some sleep. But I'm to excited... =O.O= I want to increase the time of my piece and now I fell stuck since it sound like finished. =@.@= I'm going insane.

Can you even attach MP3 files?

I'm a keyboardist (I like to think) and while I never compose music with a full orchestra of instruments, I do use a lot. Some of my pieces include Oboe, strings, cello, contrabass, trombone, and flute.
My biggest obastacle how to use each instrument correctly, and where, but I've done it. Nothing long, though.

That is the same problem that I have. I end up writeing these short pices that I have not a clue how to tie together. Frustrating it is..

Yup. Normally I come up with 30 seconds of something really cool, then I'm stuck. If I'm really lucky I can get up to 1 minute.
Some of my more recent works have been just piano, so they are actually longer than that. I'm having a lot of fun with it right now.

Hey Thar,

I have had a few attempts at writing for full orchestra, indeed its a total pain.

I find the easiest thing to do is get down your melody ideas / chord sequences as just a normal piece of piano sheet music. My orchestrations then become arrangements of those key ideas. Very useful for building up polyphonic scores as you can just layer your ideas on top of each other.

Would love to have a listen when its done Smile

I attempted such things many years ago, but since it's not going to be performed anyway, i don't really see any point Rolling Eyes
