Ok, so I'm going to go completely off topic for a moment. I apologize in advance.
Jaymee, and many others. I am a stranger here, I have isolated myself to an extent, and made no attempt at getting to know more members of the community. Perhaps it's time that I, and the others here who wish for more activity become more active ourselves. Perhaps it is time that we took the end of this era and recreated and rebuilt the community we so love!
It's time to make an effort and Work for what we Love!
I want to spend more time here, but it's difficult without something to do, I'm horrible at creating a topic, so the start is hard for me. I think I'm going to stop skimming and start READING.
-reaches out and scritches Jaymee- By the way, You're too cute to be afraid of! _________________ Ciara 12/26/08

Since I failed to add my own thoughts on the other thread (and perhaps contributed to Mike's dismay at lack of support), I will attempt to atone here.
I for one have had no problems at all with the admins on this board. Granted, I came to this board in December of 2006, so I have missed a lot of the original community that made this board great (something that I truly regret missing). I never knew some of the original admins (like Maxx), but I do know Mike Regan and Jedi.
In my short experience on PF, I have never seen any of the admins playing favorites nor applying inapropriate discipline. Admittedly, admin actions have seemed a bit harsh at times, but again, not inappropriate. I can see that the admins on this board have tried diligently to be reasonable and moderate in their actions.
Let's look at this, folks--being an admin is, for the most part, a thankless and difficult job. I personally have no desire to be an admin, because I don't like having to be the police nor the one who has to apply discipline. I come to a forum to discuss, share, learn, and enjoy myself making new friends. It would be depressing to have to police and discipline those very friends.
I have a great deal of respect for those who can bring themselves to be both friend and police to the other members of a forum. The admins here have done so admirably, despite the fact that they are imperfect.
I for one admire Mike Regan, and feel that PlanetFurry will have a large hole in it if he chooses to leave. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

I have something to add.
I don't know who to contact now . . . It was always Mike when I needed something, and now I'm at a loss!
Who's the next most active administrator?
I want a name change (fickle aren't I? I've finally decided on a name that will be permanent this time. I've played with it for a while and it sticks)
Now I really miss him _________________ Ciara 12/26/08

-holds out mike's preferred cookies and slowly backs toward and Acme Perma-Stay Pad in the middle of PF-
I think you'll be more comfortable here.
(on that note, I agree with your choice of cookies) _________________ Ciara 12/26/08

My Honors French teacher sells GS cookies contraband out of her closet. (Teachers aren't supposed to be selling stuff in school.) But no one cares; the administrators are starting to wonder why so many students are walking around with cookies. _________________ My FA |
