Now that Mike is taking some time for himself, PF is going to be in need of some additinal editors/sounding boards for new writers. I have found in the past the use of several people who I was writing with (while Mike edited for us all) and had a chance to bounce Ideas off of invaluable.
Is there anyone on the board or interested in Furry stories that anyone could suggest?
If they are not on the board please PM me with a email addy once you get permission from them. _________________ --- Rava Purr-Fox

good for mike he needs it.
now i don't claim to be any type of editor so i won't try but the idea of being a sounding board for someone seems intriguing _________________ to each their own

A big part of me (the part that includes the huge furry fan in me) wants to raise his paw and say, "Yes! I'll gladly be an editor!"
Then the practical side in me pipes up and says, "Woa, slow down there, scaley--you've got a full time job, a wife and three kids, and you've had to slow down your *own* stories. How will you ever find time to edit someone else's story?"
*sigh*
I want to. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Non-writers are best They don't have the need to start their own stories and neglect their writers.
Teric, At least you you know you can't and have said as much _________________ --- Rava Purr-Fox

Except for the "scaley" part, this is exactly the whine I've heard passing across my own lips more than once. I have seriously fallen down on my proofreading commitments to only three fellow authors. There is no way I could keep any kind of commitment to several other authors, never mind how much I might enjoy the fruits of their labor.
<sighs> Why can't RL leave us alone!?
They say the road to perdition is paved with the best of intentions, Teric. Nice to know we'll be enjoying each other's company on the way, eh? <winks>

I thought you had four?
Anyway, I'd gladly edit some stories, and I'd be on a sounding board too if I knew what that was. _________________ Telegram: kelvinshadewing

A sounding board is a piece of wood that you beat on repeatedly with a hammer to hear the various sounds it makes. So if you want to be one... *holds up a hammer*
When I read things, spelling and grammatical errors tend to leap off of the page, making me an excellent editor. However, I am very busy this summer, and I don't know how much time I could have available. _________________ My FA |

I can work as a sounding board, but I can't edit for the life of me, though with Patty around I sometimes get her to edit stuff for me before it goes to Mike, but usually she's too busy getting ready to corrupt young minds at work. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A.
