Erm, marginally nsfw I guess.
Remember this? Now children charities and equal rights groups are saying it's too sexy for TV.

Quote: | An Orangina advert in which animals wearing tiny bikinis gyrate around poles has drawn complaints from viewers.
The 60 second advert for the soft drink centres around a love story between a doe and a bear, with a finale of shots of Orangina bottles exploding between the thighs of zebras and squirting on to the breasts of other animals. |

Yeah ...
That commercial is not really fit for prime time television if you ask me, but some aspects of it are done very nicely.
Not for Saturday morning children's shows, obviously. Can't imagine why they would have gotten complaints.

It showed between segments of "How to Look Good Naked" why on earth would a child be watching that anyways it is obviously aimed at older viewers. And as far as that goes I've never thought of Orangina as being marketed towards kids, at least not in the US. On shelves in the stores that do carry it around here it's on upper shelves on eye level with adults, not kids.
Anyways the commercial was made by a French agency and the French aren't so damn anal about sexuality, so what do you expect? _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. Sigurd Olson |

A few years ago here in Germany it was usual to see a naked breast or two in pretty much every average shower gel commercial. Nobody complained to my knowledge, at least not enough. It faded away after a while, I guess a sort of trent.
Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is. What are the children supposed to do after seeing it? They'll probably just think it funny. And anyway, they are children. They'll have forgotten all about it once their cartoons are on again.
And those it DOES have an effect on... well, these days they are smart enough to get to see much worse on the internet. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

I agree with Tygon on that.
I will say that the animation is very good though. _________________ __________________

People don't seem to realize there's more than one channel to watch. Change it if you don't like what's on, or even better, STOP WATCHING TV! Go do something with your life!
Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go level up my character on Pi Story. _________________ Telegram: kelvinshadewing

And that's why we have a bunch of nut bags trying ban all forms of porn, instead of promoting the idea that parents should be parents they want to ruin the average guy's most basic of pleasures by saying its evil. _________________ "Political Correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston

Weird its only just out.
I hate E4 what a crappy channel that is anyway i'm surprised that 147 where actualy watching it at the time it must have been their entire audience. _________________ A Pro From Dover.

That web page is at Telegraph.co.uk, and the Advertising Standards Agency which has been fielding complaints about the ad is a UK organization. I wondered why a UK org was messing with a French commercial, but I found a bit of online news saying the ad was released in the UK starting in August.
Quote: | The Naturally Juicy advert, created by a French ad agency, has attracted criticism from children's charities and equal rights groups. | Equal rights groups? WTF? Who is having their rights trampled by this ad... prudes?
Quote: | Claude Knights, director of children's charity Kidscape, said: "Orangina is a drink which is mainly aimed at children and young people..." | It is? I'd better stop drinking it then. Also, when I first noticed this ad on YouTube (back in February) I watched a fair number of Orangina ads and I don't recall any of them as being specifically aimed at children, or even children in any of the ads. Maybe it's marketed differently in the UK.
Well, it seems folks in the UK are almost as big a bunch of prudes as we are here in the USA. The main difference being that this wouldn't even be on the air at all. Cable would be fine though. Of course in the USA violence seems to be acceptable, or making fun of people as long as they aren't in a category protected by law (CSI anyone?).
That Flash vid of the ad on the Telegraph.co.uk site is better quality than those on YouTube, but it's not a 60 second spot. I didn't time it but it seems to be the 1:45 version. The audio is a bit different from the version I have. What I have is far higher resolution and quality (no blocky pixelation) than either YouTube or the Telegraph's website.
Personally I think the ad is stylish, hot, fun, wild, and a treat for the senses and imagination.
