Not a bad little story. Reminds me a lot of the pulp Sci-Fi stories of the late forties early fifties, of which I am a big fan, despite how blindingly stupid they seem today in light of the breakthroughs in science. The reason I compare Green? to one of those stories is how real the characters seem in despite the short length of the story. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. Thanks!
I was trying to make the characters a bit more 'real' than I've managed in some of my writings before. _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Slice of time--good way to put it, Anthony.
I've always thought about how the interactions would be between human and fur, should the two ever meet. This story, along with a couple of others, has explored those possibilities.
Heh, was he just being chauvenistic, assuming that she liked his hands in her fur, when she really preferred he kept his distance? Or was there really some chemistry there? Or perhaps it was neither, and it was truly something practical (i.e. keeping his hands warm). Makes me wonder, though, why she was so adamant about trying to communicate her disapproval.
Thanks, Anthony--that was a fun read. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

There are times when sleeping with Patty that I have to be careful of where I place my paws when cuddling up to her. Despite for her need to have me curled up with her there on occasions times where my paws are NOT allowed to go. That was how I read this. It was as if the raccoon creature wanted to be held but that there were areas where it was taboo to be touched, or at least emotionally uncomfortable. _________________ Bad moods are like hangovers, they eventually go away. - A. Is it OK to admit that I haven't thought up a reason for why she acts as she does?
It just seemed to fit in the story...
Also, when I first started writing it, I had planned to let the female be a wolf from my 'United Earth Chronicles' universe, but as I couldn't come up with a single reason why she would be in a fighter... it only worked for about 2 minutes... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Interesting little story, Anthony, with definite possibilities for expansion.
Please continue this one.

If I had any plans for expanding it, I'd probably have done it by now...
(It was finished some time this spring, I just waited until now to publish it in case inspiration would strike... It didn't) _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"
