I need some help getting permission, if I need it I am not sure, from the author or creator of Jack. I want to make sure it is OK for me to use the character Jack (aka: Grim Reaper) as I mention in one of stories that a character is able to stay of "Jack" for another day.
So the question is do I need to get the creature of Jack permission to use the character in the way I am using him? Or can I just go about my business of writing with out it?
I would prefer having the permission but I do not know that is why I am asking for the help?

For such a passing reference, I think a simple disclaimer at the beginning would suffice: "Character Jack created by such-and such" _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

I would ask permission just in case. You never know, the guy could be a control freak with his characters, or he could be honored and even ask to show the chapter on his own site (assuming he has one).
By the way, Jack is such a generic name. Exactly which Jack are we talking about? Cuz I Syriusly don't know Jack sh**. (Two puns in one sentence! I'm on a roll with mayo!) _________________ Telegram: kelvinshadewing

this is the archive page not the front page, so can start with the first comic (always the best place to start) _________________ to each their own

The thing is that I went that page and I was having trouble finding some form of e-mail or something or another to contact him about it. Also I referring to this character in a very specific roll that I figure since I am being so specific then I should at least ask. If not then I could always go to the Grim Reaper name but since the character is a Furry I figure I would add in this little tidbit for the Furries who read the story and go "Oh I know what the author is referring to"
Does that make sense? _________________
