*To the mods, I hope I put this in the right forum. I'm not sure where else it would go. I apologize if I put it in the wrong place.*
Hello Everyone,
This is the first actual figure I've ever drawn.
I sketched it on paper, and then scanned it into the computer.
I just wanted to try it to see if I could do it, and I'd like your honest opinions.
I gave him the name Baxter Capricorn, and he's a sophomore in high school.
What do you think? Oh, and any artists who would like to give tips, I'd be glad to hear them.

This probably belongs in the 'drawing corner' forum.
For a first attempt, that's very impressive! I really like how you did the ears on him. The eyes seem to be so small that they get lost in the rest of the face, though. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Thank you, Teric!
I hope to improve as I go on.
Here is a 2nd sketch I made of him this afternoon.
By the way, moderators, I apologize for putting this in the wrong forum. I didn't see a drawing corner. Is it possible to move it? If not, can I restart it there?
Thank you.
Edit: Oops! I went out to the main menu and I saw it below this forum.
/slaps forehead.

Yeah, you'd expect normal drawings to be on top of the list, but rarely anyone comes here anyway compared to the other boards.
Nice pics by the way. I would suggest working on the muzzle a bit; it kinda looks flat. I had the same problem myself, but if you think in 3D shapes, you can usually get it to work out. Try going here and taking a look around. You'll definitely find useful help there. _________________ Telegram: kelvinshadewing

Thanks!
Yeah, I've only been drawing for about 5 days, and at this point shading and 3D is difficult for me. I'll get it though.
I sketched this the other night:
And as a fan of Jay Naylor's "Better Days" series, I did a sketch of Tommy just to see if I could. I like the end result, personally.

Thank you. I was rather pleased with it myself.

Yeah, very nice job on Tommy. Though I'm not big on some of Jay Naylor's story content, I *love* his style. _________________ Styx: "Oh sure like flaming a dragon going to do massive damage, brave challenge there Teric." |

Me too. When I was drawing Tommy and got to the eyes, I thought "how is this going to look right?", but when I was done and looked at the picture as a whole, I realized that it really does bring him to life. I hope to learn how to do that on my own and not just from another art style (that I love also).
