I am WhiteStorm because that's what song was playing when I registered (Ensiferum - White Storm).
I registered because I was on /b/ on the weekend and witnessed a "furry" thread. After almost earing my eyes from my skull I thought "is that really what that term means? Really?" (because on /b/ of course you see the worst of the worst of etcetera) and came to the conclusion that "I know! I'll use the internets!" and so now I finally got around to it.
There was another forum I almost joined but their rules suggested they were totally christian and I'm allergic to forced adherence to religion (don't take the lord's name in vain, anyone? I have a lord since when?).
I also used to play a lot of games hence my being distracted from my goal of teh learnings to post that facehuggers totally pwn headcrabs. Right now I run linux and play EVE-Online and if you found me I'd probably want to blow you up so I won't give my username for the sake of everyone.
So what is furries really? No pix required kthxbai. |

Furries?
Good question...
According to some, we're perverts who have sex while dressed as animals, and according to others, we're just plain wrong...
The furry fandom is very diverse, ranging from those who enjoys watching Disney movies, to the ultra-perverts who draws 100' tall vixens with zeppeliner-sized breasts and and 6 arms who use a submarine as dildo...
There are those who believe that they were an animal in a previous life, or that their soul really blongs in an animal and just got 'placed wrong'...
There are those who just thinks dressing up in a fursuit is neat...
But mostly, we're just people who stumbled across Sabrina Online and fell in love...
In other words, every other fandom is making fun of us out of jealousy, because their own fandom is so 'shallow'...

you know Anthony, i don't even want to know where you came up with that image.
though yes i do agree with you on that point i have to disagree or at least add that a lot of us do it as an escape from reality for example, Midi the exploding and reanimating squirrel (watch out for his muffins by the way), or skunk-fox (watch out for him to he like to molest the noobs) even Syrius the pirate doggy scourge of the inter-seas, or even Sigurd the residant "wolf-pounce-attack-hug"er/cuddel courner resident, you can't honestly tell me that that isn't a 'try' to escape the evil of the world around us. _________________ to each their own

Eeew, disney movies. And that other thing sounds pretty disturbing too, much like what found its was to /b/ that sad day.
I've never heard of the something-online thing.

I think I almost understood a word there maybe. My readings hurt now. |

*Folds arms.* Great job, guys. Now the world knows how not-as-shallow-as-we-appear-to-be we really are!
Anyway, new person, don't listen to them at all. We're as shallow as you heard, and my muffins are totally harmless. To prove my point, here. *Gives a muffin.* It'll blow your mind! _________________ Telegram: kelvinshadewing

*Slaps you silly with a cod...*

READ IT!
Then buy the comics(known as 'supporting the author')
Afterwards, check out http://www.chrisfoxx.com and http://www.zzstudios.com
Most of the stuff is family-friendly, too. But the giggling may disqualify it from a 'workplace safe' rating... _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Hello and welcome.
Basiclly, we're fans of anthropomorphism. As has been said, it's a very diverse group. _________________ My FA |

Really?
Sure, it's a decade worth of comics, but...
He only draws 3 or 4 strips/month.
Most avid readers can get through the archives in one evening...
(Personally, I huddle up on the couch with a pot of tea and the dead-tree editions ) _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

Um... metal/rock music, alcohol, fire, EVE...
STALKER when I can play it and probably UT3 when they release the linux installer.
I have a fast metabolism or something I guess so I don't really do anything active aside from wherever I work at the time. Towns are teh boring.
Are road trips active? |
