|
|
Other than writers block I have to say the worse thing can happen to a writer is carpool tunnel syndrome. I have always tried to be careful about it but it seams even I am experiencing it's effects when I write or "WORK" for long period of time and lately it seams to be getting worse.
To those other writers out there has anyone else had this and do you know of a way I can maybe relieve the problem? That is other than stop writing which I shall never do.

Oh, carpel tunnel syndrome.
Dude, avoid Tylenol and other modern pain killers containing acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Use plain aspirin. Acetaminophen and ibuprofen can be fatal to canids, felids, rodents, and mustelids. See: http://www.aspca.org/site/DocServer/veccs_july00.pdf?docID=132

I love you Syrius.
Personally Carpool Tunnel Syndrom reminds me of rush hour traffic.

Yes, Syrius. Correct you are!
Tora, I had the same reaction. "Carpool? Why would commuting through a tunnel have anything to do with writing?" I honestly didn't have a clue what Mr. Cat was talking about until I saw Asalis' response.
Then my fingers behaved like a flibbertigibbet.

I had a mild case of this years ago, from too much time on the keyboard.
I found that a low dose of manganese, about 10mcg (that's micrograms) helped after a couple of weeks of daily use. It seems to act like a lubricant, easing the pain. Don't overdose, minerals like this can have nasty side-effects. YMMV!
Sometimes some of the arthritis treatments (glucosamine, chondroitin, etc) may help too. _________________ Nicolai

When I first read it, I actually thought it had something to do with cars. Then I'm like, "Wait, isn't it spelled different?" |
