|
|
Ok i know that sheila is heavily preganant. Now the question I ask is, What is going to be the species of the baby? When Sheila and Arden 'did the act', Arden was a bear, but then when it came to act 2 Arden's body was back to human. Does this affect how the child going to turn out?
I remeber Gwen metioning something along the lines 'but you are, and he is..' and Arden replying " we are both half dragon' or somthing like that least the basic gist of it.
so? is the baby fox/bear? fox/human? or ????
heavily confused. _________________ -Order and Chaos- The Principles of Balance - |

Greetings!
A quick tip to you...
Hikaru's writing is even more mind-twisting than skunkfox', and should NOT be read at more than one or possibly two chapters a day...
(There's a genuine danger of brain-rot othervise
As for trying to guess about the child.
I won't even try. Just thinking about it gives me a headache.
All we can be certain of is that everything is uncertain and that Hikaru is the master of cliffhangers. _________________ "My name's Lion, Anthony Lion"

*chuckles* Thanks for the compliment.
I won't give any definite answers (since I haven't made up my mind yet) however I will give you the dynamics that my decision will be based on.
1) Arden was a bear who was in the process of becoming a dragon at the end of Act 1. His eyes had perminantly changed and he had developed a forked tongue... Who knows what else may have made it's way into his genome at the time.
2) Sheila was already pregnant when they went into Act II. Lakash already said that he didn't dare change her form because of the adverse effects it would have on the unborn. It's also why Arden never shape shifted while she was in Sheila's body.
3) The primary genome's involved will be polar bear and fox. Coloration, ears, face, tail, general body build will probably be centered around those two species, though you never know what I might toss into the mix.
4) Arden spent an extended ammount of time in the spirit realm in Sheila's body. Remember that everything there is created by willpower, including the food that Arden was eating while there. There was also some time distortion where the time with Lakash in the spirit realm felt like it was MUCH longer than it was in the outside world, HOWEVER you will note that the pregnancy didn't advance significantly. So keep in mind that the fetus was exposed to a tremendous amount of magic on several levels in act 1 (dragon's curse), act 2 (time in the spirit realm) and act 3 (Sheila's got that armor.... and who knows what else...)
5) Shiela has yet to get back to the real world. (Spoiler: She won't give birth until she gets back. That's a hard coded plot complication that I'll give away, though I won't say why.)
Given all that, what kind of kid will they have? Good question. Let me know if you figuire it out.
Bonus concept just to mess with your head: I never said that there would only be one kid. What if it's twins or maybe triplets?

The story has meandered through a large number of worlds. Is any of them any more "real" than the others? |

To Sheila? You bet! Her home reality is the only "real world" for her.
Everything else is just a dream.... usually a bad dream....

Chuckle I keep wanting to key Alan Jackson's "Here in the Real world" at this point.

One thing is for sure, Sheila will want to have a modern place to birth her kit/cub/child. That would point her to at least visit her or Arden’s home world. However, she may not be able to stay. I keep thinking about a line late in the first Act about the curse where using the medallion prevents that person/fur from ever going back to their home world. If that holds, Sheila may end up calling somewhere else home. |

*tries to think* Well, I'm not sure where, but am pretty sure that I remember Lakash promising that she'll get home whether Arden succeeds or fails.
She's going back to her home reality... just not with the amulet. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com

As far as I remember, that is one of the reasons they are looking for the Lamp of Lakash, that allow them to travel back without using the amulet. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

color me confused on this in Act 2, Is where they seek out the Lamp of Lakash from some mage (forget his name). But at the End of Act 2 Arden died (For the 3rd time -p). And we picked up in Husqrah(sp?) with Shiela, now they are still trying to get the Lamp,or have they given up?
I thought that the Lamp was in the land of Act 2 not in Act 3? And what does Hikaru have aganist Arden? Poor guy dies once or twice every act.
Yes i love the story, prob just one of those i gotta read 3-4 times to understand it. _________________ -Order and Chaos- The Principles of Balance - |

No. In Act II they were looking for the Chro'nisforum, which was an item that Arden said he'd ultimately need to complete his quest.
It should be interesting to see how he finishes the quest without it. _________________ Read my comic: http://www.ImperialGelf.com
