I finally had to retire my trusty towel.
It was older than me, and I've been using it all my life.
But it finally fell apart too much to use any more. _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |

I'm very sorry to hear that. It's always hard to let go of a beloved one...
But what's most important is that your towel had a good life. And don't worry, it may hurt now but you will get over it. Most likely not today and neither next week but with time you will get over it. And you will find a new towel. I know, you now feel like you can't ever have another towel, but you will. Your towel would want that.
So don't grief, my friend. Look at the happy times you two had together. You'll be alright, I know it. _________________ Tygon Panthera - name and species

Much sadness on this occasion my friend.

Happy Birthday you nut!

Sad news, Nameless. Here is a poem to help you through the tough times ahead:
Old towel in a locket.
That lies next to my heart
I will always love you
As I did right from the start.
You were right beside me
Through the darkest of my days
It was your soft and gentle nature
That made me want to stay.
Now I hold you in my arms
Your threads still warm against my hand
Our hearts still beat together
And I wonder if you understand.
And so your life slipped out of mine
On a quiet winter day
But I knew that a part of you
Was always here to stay.
Old towel in a locket.
That lays next to my heart
I will always love you
Even though we had to part.

LMTO !
That poem is really nice. The whole family got a good laugh out of it.
I got a new one, some years back. But I didn't want to stop using the old one... _________________ I'm a nut, but there are those who appreciate me for it. |
