I warn ye: Some of these are bad.

Ode To My Mother’s Candlesticks
You were my
Grandmother’s
And now you are my
Mother’s.
Someday, you shall
Be mine.
Every Friday night for
As long as I could remember,
You hold the simple
White candles that
Welcome the end of the
Week and the beginning of
The two days of rest.
Simple white candles,
Made of nothing but
Wax and string,
Held by simple
Yet strong candlesticks.
Dull brass glinting in the
Firelight of the
Candles,
You are the
Representative of our
Family.
Strong and sturdy.

For Hella
In memory of my aunt Hella
I never really
Knew her.
I've got a fuzzy picture
Of her face,
& the sound of
Her voice is a dimmer
Memory.
She gave me a
Diamond ring.
For my sixteenth birthday,
You know?
Like a sweet sixteen
Present.
Only, I got it
Five years too early.
She missed it by
Three years.
She won't be
Able see me wear
It.
She loved me.
I know that.
Even though I never
Knew her that well,
There is still a
Void.
I wish I knew her
Better before she
Died.

Invisible
People always speak
Of the hardships
Of being the leader.
The one in charge.
Yet no-one ever speaks
Of the ones who
Choose to step back,
To give others the
Glory.
These are the invisible
Ones.
These are the
Ones who
Are the
Strongest.
It is the invisible
Ones who shall win
The earth.
The invisible ones
Shall rule the
World.

Missing Her
It really is
rather funny, in
a pathetic way.
I see hear taste something
that reminds me of
her and I am brought back
to before.
Before she lied, before
she stabbed me in
the back.
The taste of mints,
a song, or even
just a short girl with
curly hair
and I remember her
and am filled with a
longing for before.
If I see someone who
looks remotely like her,
my heart starts to beat.
But is it from fear or
love?
I do not know.
