Some friends of mine and I are starting a webcomic soon... it's not quite online yet; we're still shopping around for hosting. If anyone knows any good sites, that'd be immensely helpful. But we're shooting for putting our first comic up within the month, so keep watching out for us! ^^; We'll take over your lives soon enough.

You tried comicgenesis.com (formerly keenspace.com)?

Advice from a webcomic artist of The Alphas himself:
Try to do as many as you can before setting up the account to so you can have a buffer of strips to go on with during dry spells, and see how the story is going along. Between 30 and 50 strips would be a good start, since most webcomics dont last their first 100 or even their first year.

Then schedule yourself to a time frame of updates. the hardest to do is a daily update of the comic (Like GPF, CRHF, Kevin & Kell, and several others), the easiest is a monthly (like Sabrina-Online). Somewhere between 3 comics a week and an update every 2 weeks seems to be the norm. I update twice a month (about every 2 weeks, but its not perfect).

Also, does anyone have any experience with working with phpBB? I'm considering using them for my forum, but I want some feedback from an independant party first...
