I just wanted to put a plug in here for a story market that I suspect a lot of folks here don't know much about. TSAT Magazine

http://tsat.transform.to/

is all about transformation stories, many of which are furry in nature. It's become one of the major pillars of the fandom, and consistently is listed on the Ursa Major Reccommended Anthropomorphic Reading List. (I'm not certain, but I believe that one year it actually won "Best Fanzine".)

Anyway...

I've been rather closely associated with TSAT for a number of years now, and I am well aware that one thing they are always short of is stories (the other thing they are usually even shorter of is artwork!) It's a great venue for new writers; the editors provide excellent feedback and offer good advice to new writers. To the best of my knowledge no one gets a flat rejection letter. And, best of all, hundreds of people actually _read_ TSAT on a regular basis. I personally have had several stories I've published in TSAT end up on the Ursa Major Reccommended Reading List. (And, I just found out that my recent TSAT-published tale "Schism" has now been listed as well. Yay!)

If you want to grow as a writer, TSAT is an excellent place to submit your work. They are supportive, and while they are not in a position to pay they _do_ offer a considerable degree of exposure, perhaps more than any other 'zine in the fandom. It's almost an oxymoron that a writer can only grow so far without publication and experience working with editors.

So, why not begin with editors who don't bite?
