<smacks tiger gently on the ear>
You wasted *vacation* time on an illness? 'S matter with you! TL's gonna kink your tail for that!
Seriously, Tiger, I had no idea you were under the weather. I'll solicit a little air support for you from The Boss when I talk to Him tonight.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

She'd rather me use the vacation time than be 3 days pay short in the paycheck, LOL.
Anyway, Chapter 17 is up for your enjoyment. Happy reading!

Nikki, our 21 year old brown tabby cat, passed away today from kidney failure. She was a great ol' cat, a bit cranky but who wouldn't be at that age. Her full name is Nikki-Tikki-Tavi, for how quick and fiesty she was as a kitten. She slept on TL and my bed, and kept TL warm and companioned while I was at work. I, TL, Rachel, Brianna, and our five other feline companions will miss her.

Okay folks, sorry to be absent for so long. RL events have kept me hopping, so FOH was unofficially on hiatus for a bit. I'm back at typing on Ch21 now, so hang in there.
Tigermark (hey Leonato and Journye, great to see you at TenRen. Shirh Khan, great to talk to you the other day. Ping me anytime you see me online.) _________________ Tiger, tiger, burning bright...

Ah, back at it. Chapter 21 is now posted. Chapter 21 marks a milestone for FOH. As some know, I write in a notebook and transfer to computer later, so I'm actually writing several chapters ahead of what's posted. Chapter 21 is the last chapter in the first notebook I'm using. Chapter 22 starts a new notebook full of pages to be filled. Thanks all for reading.

Woot! New notebook! Go Tiger, go!
I enjoyed Chapter 21, but I must admit I'm a little biased in my chapter selections... ...that Jedi guy has my interest, but I can't figure out why.
I await Chapter 22 with baited breath, OBA, sir!

Delerium Euphrates...does that mean I have to go to Iraq and sit by a river while I ramble on, nonsensically, about polkadotted tigers in Ballet-slippers?
And does it involve foaming around the mouth and my eyes moving independently of one another?
Most of all, does it involve nauseating amounts of goat-dung and old rags? |

When I worked for the Santa Fe Railway we used to see folks standing trackside, staring at the trains as they went by. Polite society refers to these folks as "rail fans", they were universally known as "foamers" to the crews. They used to claim that you could see some of them foaming at the mouth in their excitement...
You don't need a trip to Iraq to see that, or the rags and dung, either. Visit any large rail yard in any metropolitan city and you'll have more of that than you know what to do with.
Ever hear of Bandini fertilizer? When I worked out of Hobart Yard in east Los Angeles, their plant was right across the road from our main line at the east end of the yard. They had literal mountains of the stuff piled up in their yard, thirty feet high. When the sea breeze came up every afternoon the stink was awesome.
<exhales loudly> Ahhh.... fond memories!

Yeah but...if it's Delerium EUPHRATES...it sorta implies I -need- to go to Iraq, doesn't it?
Go and find the garden of Eden and...oh, wait...no, someone did that back in the sixties, already. Drat. I can't do that then.
How about the tower of Babel?
*checks her books* Doh...the city it was supposedly in is fully excavated, and they didn't find anything except the usual ziggurats (hmm...Ziggurats...what's that? Zig Zag's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandmothers hangout or somesuch?)
Argh...my brain is overheating. Evil summer. Bad filly, go write.
