I do no longer list story series shorter than 1 MB!
I applied the following rules to get this result: The story had to be online right now, it had to be the creation of a single writer (meaning: no anthologies such as the "Blind Pig") and it had to have an ongoing storyline (not just a short story collection). I downloaded the various formats and saved them as ASCII txt and summed up the stories' files' sizes (see above).
Note that this list is temporary and subject to change as I will add additional series as soon as I have been able to evaluate them and that I keep an eye on the ongoing series to update their rank.

Of course, this begs the question: Does size really matter?

That's "Trouble's Tale", dammit! No true fan will ever call her Tanj.

Well, Kittiara didn't complain about it... And if it's okay for the creator, it's good enough for me...
But for you convenience I added the old name too...

Kittiara didn't want to change it. I too consider "Trouble's Tales" to be the real title.

BTW, Kittiara's VCL directory has the most recent additions. Silverglass is running three or four installments behind.

Another candidate for the list would be the Taj Saga by jonwI:

Also, you've listed one of the mirrors for the Sabrina story.

The main site is of course www.chrisfoxx.com

Anyone remember the stories of Wulf?
(By Anthony Pryor Brown)
All right, the main character, Wulf, is a human, but he is transformed to a lion-man a few times, to his lovers' great delight.
(One is a demoness, there's a tigress, a wolfess, elves and a whole pride of lionesses once...)
it can be found at www.wulfarchives.com

Very much. In fact, most would see it a s a very desirable fate Wink

Quite honestly, I was surprised that Trouble's Tale was only on rank 4. I know that Identity Crisis is long, even of I haven't read it but I didn't quite think that is was THAT long. I mean, Trouble's tale is closing in on 2000 pages, or has it passed that already?

Ooooooh... Shocked
TT outdid even Thorhammer, who would had guessed...!? (except Tygon, of course)
Mathematically Kittiara even surpasses " The Lord of the Rings". Wow! Now added Wulf and Taj, too...
(and my own series sunk to rank 20. I really should not spend that much time on this, but start writing, damn... *gets depressed and listens to "Honest Mistake" by The Bravery for the rest of the night...*)

Very Happy heres a few stories.

A LEOPARD'S TAIL
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Corridor/6514/Leopard-Story.htm
Status: Unfinished. It will probly never be finished the last update was .. several years ago. 22 Parts.

Several Furry storys from Allen/shockwave (that took forever to find allens new site)
http://home.houston.rr.com/akitchen/stories.html

Winds of darkness
http://indecisions.org/furor/stories/winds/Winds.html
Intresting atleast Smile

I could come up with atleast 3 or 4 more if i can find a backup of my book marks somewhere. None of these are REALLY long but there long enough to worth mentioning.

I used to stay up late at nights searching the net for .. stuff like this. I think I ended up staying up like 30 hours reading a fox in the works when i first found it.

Thanks for the information!
But actually none of those series is long enough for the list. Here are the specs:
Winds of Darkness: 512.431 bytes
Far from Home: 696.247 bytes
Leopard's tail: 887.812 (close, but not enough)
As you can see these series no match for those listed above. Sorry!
