For those who don't know what Marathon is, it was a major FPS game done for Macs, by non other than Bungie studios (yeah, the same guys that made Halo). Talking about Halo, the Maraton series of games is often refered as the precursor to Halo. As of two days ago, it's been released as freeware. You can download them from here.

Anyways, for those who have an emulator of early MacOS versions (Like Basilisk II) can play these games without any problems with their Windows machines.

For those users of MacOS X, well all you have to do is dload Marathon 2 and Infinity, and replace the executable file with Aleph One (Open source version of Marathon 2, found here)

I'm not suprised that This game was made by Bungie though. If I remember correctly the first Halo trailer was shown at MacWorld. That was before Microsoft bought Bungie (or whatever they did to make them work for them)
