OK, I'm getting comments on it, so it deserves it's own thread.

Thank you all! I was inspired to write the lyrics and posted them on the ZZ Studios site without music. Shortly after that, Xaqtly graciously volunteered to do music for it. He is the backround vocals on Ballad, too. He is an awesome musician and singer in his own right.

Thanks to all who have/will comment on our song. I hope you had as much fun hearing it as we had making it!

Tigermark (Yah! my first non-announcement thread!)

Thanks, Xaq!

Isn't it great when an idea takes form and finally becomes a reality? I remember you sending me a PM about this on the Zig Zag board back in April, and now its here!
Maybe you can post the lyrics here? I can't seem to find them elsewhere.

Cirrel - Listening for more. Very Happy

Yeah, I made the comment to Zak when he premiered it on KWKAT that it felt like I'd been pregnant and just gave birth! (I know, it wasn't nearly that painful) Thank you Cirrel. The Lyrics are posted in the Reader Submissions FORUM at ZZ Studios under the thread title, "The Ballad of Zig Zag". You did comment on them then. For those who don't want to go there, I'll repost them here.

I Don't know of any other place to post this, so here goes. These are song lyrics, but you'll have to imagine your own ballad music. Zig Zag c Max Blackrabbit. Song inspired by "Zig Zag the Story" by James Bruner.

Little Zig Zag, you're on the run, now.
Little Zig Zag, you're tryin' to get away.
You'd like to laugh and play,
but you'll never forget that day,
when daddy became a monster, in your eyes.

Little Zig Zag, well you've made some friends, now.
Little Zig Zag,, you think you're on your way,
but then you ended up in jail,
and no one would go your bail.
The promises that they made you, were all lies.

Young Zig Zag, you tried to make it big, now.
Young Zig Zag, you went to Hollwood!
But they all called you a freak,
wouldn't even pay for a peek,
And it looked like a hellish turn back home, in your eyes.

Young Zig Zag, you found out what to do, now.
Young Zig Zag, and so you're on your way.
In movies that are blue,
you finally made a buck or two,
and tried to ignore the hardness, in your eyes.

Well Zig Zag, you've finally arrived, now.
Oh Zig Zag, you're on top today.
But love's just a fleeting dream,
and sometimes you want to scream,
'cause no guy ever looks you, in the eyes.

Oh Zig Zag, he knows about your past, now.
Oh Zig Zag, he likes you just the same.
He's not like all the rest.
He makes you feel like the best.
And you think maybe that's love you see, in his eyes.

Oh Zig Zag, he's in your heart, now.
Oh Zig Zag, you know you're not the same.
Your heart's an open book,
because he's not afraid to look,
and you know it's true love shining, in his eyes,
and he's the first to get past your disguise,
and now there's true love shining......
in your eyes.

Tigermark.

What music? I get glassy eyed just reading the lyrics!

Wish I could do stuff like that....

Wonderful work, T. I'll have to go find the ballad somewhere and see what Xaqtly's work sounds like.

Let's see, if you e-mail or contact Xaqtly, he has the completed ballad as an mp3, or listen for and/or request it on KWKAT, or ask and I'll try to send it to you. Thanks for the great response!

I'll have to give KWKAT a try once we get DSL here. I almost never try streaming audio on dialup, too much lag/pause/dropout.

when I run my show on KWKAT, I make sure its in 24kbit, that means that even dialup listeners can listen without interuption (provided you aint useing the internet connection for anything bigger than a chat client), and I have been known to play this ballad ::grins:: Speaking of which, I need to get my feline tail on air more often Smile Take care all!

You can also find the Ballad of Zig Zag as an MP3 in the Music Room of the Raccoon's Bookshelf.
Hey, not too shabby (once I waited for the 5MB on dialup).
