Hmm, just curious about this one, but I've noticed that when someone uploads an image now, the "preview" in their post has the colour data messed up, maybe because of the quality of the image being lowered (an example of this can be seen on the second last page of the "the fox chronicles" cgi forum thread, if it's not on my end alone.)
Was this done intentionally to save bandwidth, or just something on my end messing up?

Sounds like it could be either the format of the images, or a function that was changed when I upgraded PHP that doesn't work well with the attachment code. If you could post some example posts, I'll check them out. |

It's due to the update of PHP. The Attachment mod is calling on GD, which is 'broken' -- the new PHP build is using GD2, which processes the files a little differently.
I ran into that problem over at Afterdark with the gallery, and once I told it to use GD2 everything worked fine again. _________________
